僕は、さまざまなメディアをとおして見えてくる表層、それが身体の一部になって消化されていく感覚とそれに蝕まれ薄れていく身体という存在に興味がある。人間のインプットとアウトプットの関係はとても倒錯している。常に膨大の情報を取り入れ、同じように取り出している。しかし、すべてのものは均等で、なぜかめちゃくちゃな状態そのままを受け入れている。
受け入れているのか、それとも蝕まれているのか僕が、いつも考えていることの一つである。
僕は、絵を制作している。その絵にはとにかく詰め込むだけ詰め込むようにしている。文字、さまざまテクスチャー、色彩、すべてが独立した状態で描き、一つの形体が一つの絵画という意識で制作をしている。そして、絵を描く中で起こりうることをなるべく受け入れようとすることで、身体のメタファーとして絵を描いている。そして、今展では作品の内側の世界と外側の世界が、蝕まれ薄れていくことを可視化できないかと考えている。
この絵は、むちゃくちゃな状態で身体には程遠い。いろんなものがありすぎて何にもない状態である。しかし、人は、そんなもんじゃないかとも思う。だからこそ何でも受け入れられるのではないだろうか。と僕は思いたい。

I am interested in the surface revealed by various media, and the sense I feel when the surface becomes a part of my body and then digested. And, I am also intrigued by the body itself that is affected and eventually fade away. The relation between input and output of a human body is perverse. I ceaselessly absorb vast amount of information and retrieve it. And everything seems all the same, but for some reason, I accept the messy situation as it is.
I wonder if I accept it, or I am affected by it. That is one of the things I keep thinking about.
I paint. I try to cram things as much as possible when I paint. I paint every word, texture and color independently, thinking every figure is a picture. Through accepting everything happens during the course of painting, I try to make a painting that is a metaphor of human body. This exhibition will visualize the process that the world inside and outside of the painting being affected and fading away.
This painting is a mess, far from a human body. There are so many things painted that you find nothing there. But, isn’t it the way we are? Maybe that’s why we accept everything. At least, I hope so.
